Fourth of July

The Peters Company has helped several families relocate to Atlanta this year. If you are new to the city, like them (and me!), here are a few fantastic options for your Independence Day celebrations:

Peachtree Road Race – Start your day off with one of Atlanta’s favorite 4th of July traditions! Registration for the race is over, but go out and support all of the 10k runners! The race spans from Buckhead to Piedmont Park and is one of the largest 10k races .

Stone Mountain – Spend the day and experience the numerous of family activities or just go for the laser and fireworks show. Either way you will not be disappointed! The laser/fireworks show is free except for parking.

Centennial Park – One of Atlanta’s best known landmarks! The gates open at 6:00 pm on July 4th and the firework show synchronized to music begins at 9:45. This event is free.

Turner Field, Braves vs. Phillies – Nothing is more American than a baseball game on the 4th! Get upper level tickets behind home plate for one of the best firework displays after the game. The amazing firework display will be choreographed to Patriotic music.

Georgia Aquarium’s “Red, White, and Brew” – visit the aquarium (stay cool inside away from Atlanta’s brutal heat!) and attend their 4th of July party! The event begins at 7:00 pm in the Ocean Ballroom and includes food, live music, and unlimited beer (must be 21 years old). You’ll have one of the best seats in Atlanta for the Centennial Park fireworks from the Aquariums rooftop deck! Tickets are $55 each.

Not yet residing in Atlanta, but planning a move to the city? Contact The Peters Company to help your move here be as spectacular as the fireworks! 404-419-3619
