And, it all starts with outpacing your local market. There’s no doubt that 2017 was a great year for the Metro Atlanta real estate market.

With sales slightly higher than 2016, over 90,000 homes sold in Metro Atlanta. Homes sales were up 3.7% from 2016.

Well… guess what? The Peters Company’s home sales were up 11.5% from 2016. We OUTPACED the Metro Atlanta Real Estate Market.

In 2017, Metro Atlanta had the lowest number of listings in the past 5 years. So, it’s no surprise at all that sales prices were up 4.2% to $250,000 (the highest in Metro Atlanta history).

With only a 2.6 months supply of listings (down 7.1%) from 2016, it’s not shocking that the “average” home in Atlanta was selling in less time for a higher percentage of sales to list price ratio.

The “average” Atlanta real estate agent sold homes in 36 days for 96.6% of original list price. At The Peters Company, we sold homes in 23 days for 98.06% of the original list price.

That means that here at The Peters Company, we net our sellers 1.46% more than the “average” Atlanta real estate agent. While 1.46% doesn’t sound like a lot (when you take into consideration our average sales price of $359,000), we get our sellers $5,241 more. That’s no CHUMP CHANGE. And, again, The Peters Company outpaces the average Atlanta real estate agent.
